SIR compression molding process
SIR compression molding process
| Solid Silicone Molding Process The solid-state molding process is the most common manufacturing process in the silicone rubber industry. It is mainly based on the shape of the mold and the temperature, pressure and time of the hot press molding machine to vulcanize the silicone. Its main production process is: rubber mixing – cutting – weighing – placing materials into the mold – forming – inspection – next process Its advantages are: 1. The molding temperature range is wide. Depending on the vulcanization system, choose the platinum vulcanization system or the bis-25 vulcanization system. The molding temperature range can be controlled between 110°C and 200°C. 2. Mold change is convenient and there is no need to clean the feed channel. It is especially suitable for products with small quantities and requiring frequent mold changes. 3. The process maturity is high and the quality of the product is easier to control. |
